Youth Program

The focus of each class is on how well your child moves, not how much or how fast. Every class is loaded with age-appropriate excitement coupled with learning the basic functional movements. We want to see your kids grow in strength and skill as well as in confidence and character, and above all have fun!

Our Teens program is a strength and conditioning class developed specifically for the teenage-“ish” age range and is always scalable based upon your teen’s ability. We teach our young athletes to move correctly and because the workouts are constantly varied, your teen is less likely to fall prey to the overuse injuries that plague common training routines and year-round sports. Our program can help any high school athlete improve his or her speed, coordination, strength, and endurance.

Meet the Coach

We are so thrilled to announce the long-awaited Kids/Teens program has arrived at CrossFit Sugar Grove run by our very own, Coach Elliott. Coach Elliott always brings the energy to his classes in and outside of coaching and with the kids and teens he can really match their energy like no other. Parents always need a break from their kids and let’s face it, the kids could use a break as well. They will be participating in functional fitness workouts just like any other CrossFit class. Your children will be learning about fitness, proper form, and technique along with information on healthy food alternatives and much much more.

Coach Elliott has completed a Kids/Teens program through CrossFit Inc. and is always eager to teach young minds about CrossFit and fitness in a much more kid friendly environment.

In each of the 8-week cycles Coach Elliott will be going over the basic movement standards from the classic squat, deadlift, and press series all the way to the gymnastic side of things with pull ups and handstand work.

But what is a kids/teens class without some extra fun?! There will always be some downtime at the end of each session with an important lesson and some fun games and activities to make sure your children get everything they want out of this experience.
